December 17, 1996 Released on VHS before The Hunchback of Notre Dame, despite its theatrical release after that film, being a box office bomb.

Walt Disney Home Video planned to release Bambi and The Hunchback of Notre Dame on VHS in early 1997, after Toy Story. As for Sleeping Beauty, it was released on VHS worldwide except in North America this year.

Upcoming

Hercules A sneak peek at this film was seen on the Toy Story VHS, when it was set for release in summer 1997.
Mulan Still in production, as there were now more new animated features in development after Mulan as of this year.
A Bug's Life Still in production.
Toy Story 2 The idea for a sequel to Toy Story dates back to this year.
