Thomas & Friends			Older episodes from Seasons 1–7 were currently airing on PBS Kids Sprout, restored in high definition and using the same narration from Seasons 2–4 of Shining Time Station. Almost all episodes from Seasons 1–9 were also available on DVD since October 14, 2008.

Sonic Drift 2 Sonic R Sonic Shuffle			Some classic Sonic games, including these titles, were currently out of print.
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island Diddy Kong Racing Mario Party Mario Party 3 Donkey Kong 64			These games were never released for Virtual Console. Diddy Kong Racing contained characters that were owned by Microsoft since September 24, 2002, while the Mario Party games had control stick-spinning minigames, and Donkey Kong 64 contained the same game-breaking bug from 1999. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island's reason was unknown.
Kirby's Dream Land 2 Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble Kirby's Star Stacker Pokémon Red and Blue Pokémon (Yellow) Super Mario Bros. Deluxe Wario Land 3 Pokémon Gold and Silver Pokémon (Crystal)			These Game Boy and Game Boy Color games were awaiting releases on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS.

February 7	Lady and the Tramp was released on Blu-ray Disc and DVD as a Diamond Edition. The Cat in the Hat was also released on Blu-ray Disc.
February 14	The Lorax and Pontoffel Pock and His Magic Piano were released on Blu-ray Disc. It was also possible to purchase the specials digitally on Amazon Video.
February 16	Super Mario Bros. was released on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS.
February 17	The English dub of The Secret World of Arrietty was released in U.S. theaters.
February 28	Shout! Factory released the very first My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic DVD, titled "The Friendship Express".
March 2	The Lorax premiered in theaters. Attached to this film was a teaser trailer for Despicable Me 2.
March 6	The Lion King II: Simba's Pride and The Lion King 1½ were released on Blu-ray Disc.

June 22	Brave premiered in theaters. The film was once set for a late 2011 release, but sometime before Season 2 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic even began development, Brave was pushed back to summer 2012. Attached to Brave were four variants of the teaser trailer for Monsters University.
June 26	Dr. Seuss on the Loose and Grinch Night were released on Blu-ray Disc.
July 12	Kirby's Pinball Land was released on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS.
July 13	Ice Age: Continental Drift premiered in theaters. Included with this film was a teaser trailer for Epic.
July 18	My Neighbor Totoro was released on Blu-ray Disc in Japan.
July 26	Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 was released on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo 3DS.
August 7	The Lorax (the Universal/Illumination film) was released on Blu-ray Disc and DVD. The Cat in the Hat and The Hoober-Bloob Highway were also released on Blu-ray Disc, along with Royal Pony Wedding on DVD.
August 19	New Super Mario Bros. 2 was released for the Nintendo 3DS.
August 21	The Aristocats and Pocahontas were released on Blu-ray Disc.
August 28	The Pirates! Band of Misfits was released on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.
September 3	101 Dalmatians was released on Blu-ray Disc for the first time in the UK.
September 14	Finding Nemo 3D premiered in theaters, while The Little Mermaid was still set to premiere in 3D on September 13, 2013.
September 16	Kirby's Dream Collection: Special Edition was released for the Wii. This game contained six classic titles from 1992–2000, three episodes of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, one soundtrack album, and more stuff.

September 28	Hotel Transylvania premiered in theaters. Attached to this film was a teaser trailer for The Smurfs 2.
October 2	Cinderella was released on Blu-ray Disc and DVD as a Diamond Edition. This Blu-ray Disc included a trailer for the next title of the series, Peter Pan.
October 9	The remaining 26 episodes of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show and another 22 episodes of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog were re-released on DVD. The remaining 22 episodes of the latter show never got a re-release and were temporarily out of print.
October 26	With Windows 8 being released for general availability, the worldwide market share for Windows 7 peaked at 61%.
November 2	Wreck-It Ralph premiered in theaters.
November 6	Arthur Christmas was released on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.
November 10	My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic's third season premiered on the Hub Network.
November 11	Paper Mario: Sticker Star was released for the Nintendo 3DS.

December 4	My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: Adventures in the Crystal Empire and all episodes of the show's first season were released on DVD. Finding Nemo was also released on Blu-ray Disc (2D and 3D). By this point, all of Pixar's films to date have been available on Blu-ray.
December 5	Kiki's Delivery Service was released on Blu-ray Disc in Japan.
