Events in 1994

January 19	The Season 2 episode of Barney & Friends "An Adventure in Make-Believe" was released on VHS as "Let's Pretend with Barney".
January 21	Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 was released for use on the Game Boy.
January 23	Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 moved to the USA Network.
February 2	Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was released for the Genesis.
February 18	James Goes Buzz Buzz and Other Thomas Stories was released on VHS.
February 21–25	Five new episodes of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, titled "Mister Rogers Talks About Things to Wear", premiered on PBS. These were episodes #1671–1675.
March 2	The Cat in the Hat aired on Disney Channel for the last time. By this point, all of the Dr. Seuss specials were no longer airing on Disney Channel.
March 4	The Fox and the Hound was released on VHS.
April 4	A new Kidsongs TV Show premiered on PBS.
April 16	The first episode of All That aired on Nickelodeon.
April 24	Barney's Imagination Island aired on NBC.
April 27	The Season 2 episode of Barney & Friends "The Alphabet Zoo" was released on VHS.
May 16	Reruns of the new Kidsongs TV Show began after the first season ended with 30 episodes.
May 24	The seventh season of Full House began reruns on ABC after it ended with 24 episodes.
June 24	The Lion King was released in theaters. Its soundtrack was also released in music stores, and books based on the film were released in bookstores.
	Microsoft released MS-DOS 6.22 for Windows 3.1 users.
July 4	All 30 episodes of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood from 1974–1975 began airing on PBS, 25 of them for the last time -- specifically, all those from 1975.
July 19–27	The Cat in the Hat, Dr. Seuss on the Loose, The Lorax, The Hoober-Bloob Highway and the English dub of My Neighbor Totoro were all released on VHS from Fox Video. The Dr. Seuss specials now contained sing-along lyrics.
August 3	Barney Live! in New York City was released on VHS.
August 20	Kirby and the Story of the Dream Spring was released in Japan. This game was based on the video game Kirby's Adventure.
August 24	Another Season 3 video of Thomas & Friends, Percy's Ghostly Trick and Other Thomas Stories, was released on VHS.
August 29–September 2	Five more new episodes of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, titled "Mister Rogers Talks About Going Away & Coming Back", premiered on PBS. These were episodes #1676–1680.
September 3	Super Mario Bros. Super Show and Super Mario World were rebranded as "Mario All Stars" on further reruns on The Family Channel.
September 5	The 11th season of Jeopardy! and the 12th season of Wheel of Fortune began on local syndication.
September 10	13 new episodes of Sonic the Hedgehog premiered on ABC, one at a time per week.
September 14	Thomas' Christmas Party and Other Thomas Stories, was released on VHS.
September 21	Kirby's Dream Course was released in Japan for use on the Super Famicom.
September 27	The eighth and final season of Full House premiered on ABC. Season 7 moved to daily syndication.
October 4	Barney's Imagination Island was released on VHS.
October 15	Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble was released for the Sega Game Gear.
October 18	Sonic & Knuckles was released for use on the Genesis.
October 28	Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was released on VHS in both standard and Deluxe Video Editions, and CLV or CAV Laserdisc.
	Mary Poppins, Dumbo, Alice in Wonderland, Robin Hood and The Sword in the Stone were all transferred to the Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection, joining Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
November 6	The Cat in the Hat and The Grinch Grinches the Cat in the Hat aired on TNT for the first time.
November 18	The Lion King was re-released in most theaters. Included with it was a teaser trailer for Pocahontas.
November 21	Donkey Kong Country was released for use on the Super NES. A few weeks later, Super Mario All-Stars was also re-released with Super Mario World included.
December 10	Reruns of Sonic the Hedgehog on ABC continued after the series ended with 26 episodes.
December 15	The seventh and final volume of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind was released in Japanese bookstores.
December 18	Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 aired on the USA Network for the last time.
	Three new Kidsongs titles were made: Billy Biggle's Favorite Songs, Country Sing-Along and Boppin' with the Biggles.
