On April 1, 2002, when Noggin's programs now aired from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the network's primetime and early morning hours were broadcast as a new programming block called "The N". The N's programs were targeted at older audiences.

As a 24/7 network

On December 31, 2007, Nick GAS was replaced by The N, which officially became a 24-hour TV network on that same day.

After Nickelodeon changed its logo on September 28, 2009, The N was renamed TeenNick.

During the last few minutes on July 25, 2011 before midnight, a brand-new programming block called "The '90s Are All That" premiered on TeenNick. It was targeted at adults who grew up watching classic Nickelodeon shows from 1991 to 2000. Each day, the block aired for four hours, only during the late night/early morning period. When All That aired on this block, it did not carry the musical guests' performances.

The block was renamed to "The Splat" in October 2015, and was expanded to eight hours at that time. Now, the block airs from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and it still airs the same shows.
