Specials

On April 24, 1994, Bedtime with Barney: Imagination Island premiered on NBC. It was only known to air once.

When "Home Sweet Homes" and "Hola, Mexico!" aired on this network, they got brand-new closed captions in addition to retaining their original end credits. All other Season 1 episodes had the short end credits from late 1996. Season 3 also used the short end credits as well.

As of 2011, all Barney & Friends media from the 1990s has been discontinued, and after January 2017, no new Barney media was ever released, and the official Barney website shut down in 2018. However, this could all change in Barney's next upcoming anniversary.
