Synopsis
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made. The Lego Movie a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble -- LEGO Batman -- stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker's hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone-vigilante thing, try to wok with other and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

Production timeline
- October 10, 2014: A spin-off film focusing on Lego Batman was announced on this date. It was given a release date of May 26, 2017, also pushing back the actual Lego Movie sequel to May 25, 2018. Warner Animation Group did not announce any more new films until August 17, 2015.
- April 20, 2015: The Lego Batman Movie moved up to February 10, 2017.
- March 24, 2016: The first teaser trailer was released online.
